This is my personal review of the brain training for dogs course, taught by Adrienne Farricelli.
Being the outdoor adventure folk that we are, we are constantly hitting trails and taking our dog, Jack on trips with us.
Since we are always on the move and in situations that could be potentially dangerous for an untrained dog, effective training is a must for us!

I will say that I got pretty Lucky and Jack was pretty easily trained from the get go. But I have had dogs in the past that were very difficult to train.
Honestly it was probably because I was training them using bits and pieces I’d find on the internet, and mostly Youtube.
After checking out the brain training for dogs course though, I was blown away!
This would have saved me so much heartache in the past. Going forward, I’ll be using the techniques that Adrienne shows in her videos.
Why You Need to Train Your Dog
An untrained dog is a danger to others and a danger to himself. Think about it, if you can’t trust your dog to come back immediately when called, you’re waiting for a disaster.
What if he darts out the house and into the street or runs into other dangers where he just will not come back when needed.
For us, having a well trained dog means I get to enjoy our walks, hikes and other adventures all that much more. Without the worry, without the stress and without the embarrassment.
I had one dog we had to lock up in his kennel every time we had guests, because he WOULD NOT stop jumping on our loved ones.
After seeing the look of fear in my mother-in-laws face, I knew that having an untrained dog was going to cause a lot of problems.
So is this program a good solution?

Does Brain Training for Dogs Really Work?
Yes. The brain training for dogs program works for both puppies and older dogs. It addresses the root of the problem with your dogs behavior instead of teaching them a few tricks for specific bad behaviors.
It’s one of the highest talked about online dog training programs, and after going through the modules, I completely understand why.
Many other programs or training advice I’ve seen focuses on “dominance” over your dog. But just as this way of thinking doesn’t work on children, it also doesn’t work on dogs. At least not for long term behavioral changes.
She uses positive reinforcement instead of punishment.
Just from my own experience with dogs, I can tell you works way better. Punishment just leaves the dogs anxious, depressed and act out with more behavioral issues in the long run.
Adrienne has been a CPDT-KA certified dog trainer for years and you can tell she knows exactly what she’s doing.
Her techniques use the latest research in dog behavioral training to show that creating a strong bond between you and your dog, and filling them with positive emotions around your relationship help strengthen their brain and best of all, make them want to listen to you and trust you.
That little shift in thinking was a bit mind blowing. It goes against a lot of the training information out there.
But guys, The brain training for dogs program actually works AND leaves you both feeling good after.

The Course Structure
It’s one of the highest talked about online dog training programs. I didn’t understand why until I went through the modules myself.
The program is organized well and it’s easy to find the information your looking for. It’s set up to even make your dog smarter and stimulate his brain. This makes him more behaved and a better listener.
It also has a ton of visuals, which if you are a visual learner like me, you’ll appreciate. It includes videos and pictures demonstrating the different exercises.
It also uses different sections just like school including preschool all the way up to graduation. This allows the two of you to work your way up from uncontrolled and wild to obedient and tame.
You can actually check out their page here to see the complete structure in neat (and visual) way better than I can explain it here.
